Eshaq Al-Habib, Advisor and Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, who is traveling in Addis Ababa, met with Ethiopian Foreign Minister Gideon Timothy.

During the meeting, the two sides, referring to the ancient civilization and culture of Iran and Ethiopia, emphasized the importance and necessity of strengthening bilateral relations and discussed and exchanged views on ways to develop and promote relations and cooperation between the two countries in various bilateral areas as well as in regional and international forums.

In this meeting, the Ethiopian Foreign Minister, referring to the long-standing and friendly relations between Iran and Ethiopia, emphasized the determination and will of the leaders of the two countries to promote relations between them, given the abundant capacities available in the two countries.

In this meeting, the Advisor and Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs conveyed the greetings of Seyyed Abbas Araqchi to his Ethiopian counterpart, referred to the good meeting and negotiations between President Pezizkian and the Ethiopian Prime Minister on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, and emphasized our country's efforts and readiness to pursue the process of further developing and expanding relations between the two countries
